Procrastination

I sit again on my desk and racking my brain on what should I write today.
After a minute or two..
I think about...
"Procrastination- On Facing The Deadline"

Intro:
What Is Procrastination?
Conceptually, I can say that- Procrastination is our bad attitude related to time management.
You're in the state of doing the most important thing at the very last minute.

When you should meet someone at 8 O'clock.
You really be there on 8.30 p.m due to procrastination.
For the full definition- You may ask Google.
(I create my own definition to every single things- So I know the real value of it).

Back to our discussion here.

Procrastination is really bad and make you lost many things in life.
I, personally have a really bad experience with - so called procrastination-.

Facts On Procrastination

It will always take longer than you think it will, even when you account for the fact that you know it will take longer than you think it will.
It is because we can't plan for the unforeseen.
We can't even schedule in 'minus two days for the unforeseen ' because statically we will use up all the times we allowed ourself no matter what.

Actually, there's some research conducted at the west which named as Hofstadter's Law and Parkinson's Law.
Both studies agree on the above statement.

Lessons Learnt:
Too many things in life are been taken for granted (until we loose it).
On that moment, we will realize that we make a huge mistakes.
And there's no way out because time can't be reverted like what we want it to be.

So, to be realistic..
We must learn from the environment besides learning from our own experiences.
The good and the bad one, indeed!

When it comes to deadline, you can try to follow the common wisdom:
- Plan carefully to finish early, and be aware of your flexibility- 


You're not going to do any good driving yourself into the ground creating an inferior products that just happens to be on time.
Knowing if your deadline has any flexibility will tell you if you're The Sydney Opera House, finishing ten years later, or Douglas Brinkley, the biographer of Jack Kerouac who had to return his $200, 000 advance when he missed his deadline.

The rule of thumb is:
Once you know the basics - time, strictness of deadline, division of big projects to create the whole- 
Stop the constant planning and revision, and just keep your nose on the grindstone.
That's means stop planning, because the more you plan on something the less you are focused on actually doing.

Even if the worst- case scenario comes down, and you fail something really important- At least you will have failed less.


Deadline = The Dead Zone
